Out of nostalgia last night I was looking into the third toy story film but instead ended up discovering the existence of this movie. There had been a megaman fan film made some years ago by a group of college students but with a more limited budget, still though it was a good effort. At first I was ready to criticize this new attempt (it came out this year)deeming it a Hollywood take on the character. It wasn't until I checked Wikipedia I found that it wasn't an official movie. After learning this and watching about ten minutes I put my doubts asides and the fact the series was of no longer interest to me and strangely enjoyed it.
The creators mostly followed the origin story of Megaman which while making sometimes for a dull film doesn't change how much clear passion/dedication went into this and this can be found not just in the surprising production values for a fan movie but also the acting.
I also really liked the backstory for Dr Light such as him losing his wife and that being part of the reason he created Roll and Megaman.
It also goes beyond the title character's creation as well. The early robot masters are here as is Dr Wily and unexpectedly even the yellow devil and evil megaman were included. Though at least three tunes (including Wily's iconic theme from the second game) were used, I would have liked to see more.
While any faults here can be attributed to it not being a professional work it still bares saying that when adapting a game to the screen the pacing can often feel awkward at times.
The person who played Megaman was a bit flat occasionally and the woman who acted role while cute did often sound somewhat snide in terms of tone ( it should be noted that I mean absolutely no offense here)but both overall did a great job though whoever portrayed Light and Wily (the latter who is depicted so that he is not only enormous fun to watch , but makes the whole film) were excellent.
While definitely showing signs of being an amateur made film I would not dismiss it and would certainly recommended not just to fans of the games but anyone who liked them in the past or is interesting in having a try themselves at making their own movie.

I actually think the megaman one is better than anything Capcom did with the games and certainly more so than any official film adaptation should it exist/come to exist.
